Microform at the Marriott Library
Overview
This extensive collection was created from the holdings of the American Antiquarian Society in Worcester, Massachusetts, "this nation's chief repository for early American newspapers". Some of these titles are on microopaque cards, others on microfilm.
Some Other Historical Titles
Another colonial newspaper available on microfilm is the Virginia Gazette. Researchers interested in this period are fortunate that there is a published index to this paper, covering the period 1736-1780 (call number AI21 .V5), in the Microforms Reference Collection adjacent to the microform readers in the Knowledge Commons on Level 2.
