Setting up a Free Google Account

 

While Google Maps can be used to locate places without logging in, an account is required to save and share maps that you create using the software.  If you do not currently have a Google account, setting up a free account is very easy.  Not only will you be able to create and save maps using Google Maps, you will also gain access to the numerous applications available free to Google users.
