University of Utah Sustainability Resources: Get Involved!
- Make sure to check out the Office of Sustainability website.
- Join the Wasatch Experience: "The Wasatch Experience [coordinated by the Office of Sustainability] engages educators in a two-day, team-based workshop in August, followed by regular small-group meetings during the school year. Participants design and implement an action plan to integrate the big ideas of sustainability into their courses. Upon program completion, participants are awarded $500 and receive the University Sustainability Teaching Scholar designation."
The next cohort of the Wasatch Experience starts in 2018-2019. Interested in joining? Fill out this form.
- Participate in the Sustainability Faculty Learning Community: "A faculty learning community (FLC) comprises an interdisciplinary group of faculty devoted to enhancing teaching, learning, and the university experience. FLCs have been shown to increase faculty interest in teaching and learning while providing a safe space for faculty to explore and implement new approaches, give and receive feedback, and generate a knowledge base accessible to the broader University community." - Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence, the University of Utah
The Sustainability Faculty Learning Community is a monthly meeting open to faculty with interests in sustainability. Sign up here. 2017 - 2018 meetings to be announced soon!
