LEAP Information Literacy Assessment

LEAP and Library Partnership for Online and Hybrid Development

The purpose of this research study is to incorporate new technology including online and hybrid teaching into the LEAP/library partnership, evaluate the information literacy skills of students in LEAP courses, and use the results to revise our LEAP curriculum and improve the LEAP/library partnership. We are doing this study because LEAP has strongly contributed to the retention and graduation rates of undergraduates at the University of Utah, and the libraries have played a strong partnership role, and we would like to formally assess LEAP students’ critical thinking and information literacy skills and use that assessment to strengthen the LEAP/library partnership
