  • Government agencies coordinte hazard mitigation, community prepardness, and disaster response. 
  • Use the search engine at Govinfo.gov to find congressional documents
  • The Government Accountability Office and Congressional Research Service pubish useful evaluations of U.S. policy
  • A good strategy is to search directly from government agency websites.  For example, searcht he FEMA site for  information about disaster planning; use the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration website for weather-related information, and so on.
