About Our Collections

The J. Willard Marriott Library at the University of Utah has been a federal depository library (FDL) for publications from the United States Government since 1893.  This collection of government publications is particularly strong in the areas of census data; legislative materials; compilations of government statistics in areas of business and labor; mining, geological and earth sciences; and international relations.

Many items published prior to 1976 are not listed in the catalog of the J. Willard Marriott Library.  If you have questions regarding the availability of any item in the federal government collections please use the form to the right, or call 801-585-6802 to speak with a member of the staff.
