LEAP and Library Partnership for Online and Hybrid Development
The purpose of this research study is to incorporate new technology including online and hybrid teaching into the LEAP/library partnership, evaluate the information literacy skills of students in LEAP courses, and use the results to revise our LEAP curriculum and improve the LEAP/library partnership. We are doing this study because LEAP has strongly contributed to the retention and graduation rates of undergraduates at the University of Utah, and the libraries have played a strong partnership role, and we would like to formally assess LEAP students’ critical thinking and information literacy skills and use that assessment to strengthen the LEAP/library partnership.
The assessment, provided by Threshold Achievement Test for Information Literacy (TATIL), (see: https://thresholdachievement.com/ ) is designed to reflect a strict policy of protecting your privacy. No personal information or data will be gathered by either the Marriott Library or the TATIL site.
