What You Will Learn


By the end of the semester, you will be able to:

  • Locate various services points in the Marriott Library and on the Library home page
  • Identify the characteristics of a scholarly resource (book, journal, or website)
  • Find both print and online resources using the library website
  • Understand how scholarly information is produced
  • Use several library resources (Usearch, Project Muse, JSTOR, online journals, etc.)
  • Implement various search strategies in locating information
  • Be able to ask for assistance from librarians and library staff
  • To better forage and evaluate information resources

Our goals as librarians for you are:
