Industry Codes
Industry classification codes include GICS Code Map Book (code lookup) and NAICS & SIC Codes.
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy.
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Codes are four digit numerical codes assigned by the U.S. government to business establishments to identify the primary business of the establishment.
Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) Code is an industry code developed by MSCI and Standard & Poor's (S&P) for use by the global financial community. The GICS structure, in many instances, has superseded the SIC and NAICS codes.
