- P0634 Utah Test and Training Range photograph collectionAerial views of the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR) used by the Military. Areas covered include the former Wendover Army Air Base; Silver Island; Bonneville Salt Flats; northwest arm of Great Salt Lake; Lakeside, Utah; Dugway Proving Ground; and various military installations.
- Thomas Caldwell Adams photograph collection, 1920-1963 (collection guide; materials available in Special Collections).Thomas Caldwell Adams was a professor of civil engineering at the University of Utah and later, a civil engineer in private practice. The collection contains focuses on topics such as dams, irrigation projects, floods, engineering projects, and miscellaneous materials. The collection also reflects Adams' consuming interest in the Great Salt Lake.
- Great Salt Lake photograph collectionThis collection consists of prints and slides pertaining to the Great Salt Lake in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Included are photographs of the Salt Flats, sailing on the Great Salt Lake, pleasure boats, Lucin Cutoff, Saltair, Garfield Beach and Black Rock.

Manuscript Collections
- Strivings On Salt Water: Surveys on Great Salt Lake October to December 1934Available by request in the Special Collections Reading Room. The Lloyd Conyers report (circa 1935) is typewritten and titled "Strivings On Salt Water: Surveys on Great Salt Lake October to December 1934." This is a survey for a diking project along the Great Salt Lake's west shore. It lists the men involved, the equipment used, and gives a detailed account of what was done.
- William Harroun Behle papers, 1889-2003 (collection guide; materials available in Special Collections)Dr. William Behle was a world renowned biologist, zoologist, and professor in the Biology department at the University of Utah. His papers include surveys of birds at the Great Salt Lake, and the manuscript of his book, "The Great Salt Lake, Utah's Inland Sea."
- Great Salt Lake Oral History collectionThis oral history series was conducted during 2013-2015 by the American West Center. The collection includes interviews with environmentalists, outdoor enthusiasts, artists, and authors to discuss their work with the Great Salt Lake in Utah.
- Charles Butler Hunt and Alice Hunt photograph collectionCharles Butler Hunt was the co-founder of the Utah Geological Society, professor of geology at the Johns Hopkins University, the University of Utah, and New Mexico State University, director of the military geology unit of the USGS during World War II, and an author. Alice Hunt is an archaeologist and author. The 3635 slides are of archeological areas and geologic interest including Stansbury Island and the North Great Salt Lake.
