T-Test for Population Mean
Notes:
- 0.5 is not a plausible hypothesis, since it is even not into the 95% confidence interval.
- p-value < 0.05, reject the null hypothesis (H0: mean equals 0.5.)
One sample Test for Median
Interpretation:
- p-value for this hypothesis is very small, so we need to reject the null hypothesis.
- The confidence interval for the proportion below 1 should include 50%, how in this case, it did not.
Binomial Test
Testing whether the two-level categorical dependent variable (success vs. fail) has a hypothesized proportion of successes. Usually, the null hypothesis is that the two categories are equally likely to occur.
For example, rolling a die 200 times, the test aims to determine whether the probability of rolling a one (success) or not rolling a one (fail) is equal to 1/6. The total count of rolling a one is 20.
