Did you know a particular court will have often have its own specific rules of practice and procedure?
These court-specific rules are referred to as "local rules" and are applicable only to the court in question. These rules can govern how pleadings are submitted, how judges manage their calendars, and other vital practice information.
If you're going to appear in front of a particular court, be sure to check the local rules first to make sure you've met their requirements.
