Peter Metcalf is the CEO & President of Black Diamond Equipment & BD Inc, a company whose founding he led in 1989 in Ventura, CA and then moved to Utah in 1991. Black Diamond is recognized as the global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of innovative equipment for climbers, mountaineers, peak baggers, and free-ride skiers. The Company employs approximately 500 people worldwide split between Salt Lake City, Europe, California, Japan, and in China through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Black Diamond AG, BD Asia, and Gregory Mountain Products.
