The Fine Arts and Architecture Library is located on the second floor of the Marriott Library east of the main stairs. This area includes reference books and a reference desk. The fine arts collection, located behind the desk, contains catalogue raisonnes, exhibition catalogues and books which for various reasons should not have wide circulation.

This research guide is designed to help the general public answer questions they might have in regards to appraising art. Although the focus of this guide is on Utah art and Utah's artists, the information it contains should be of some help to everyone that has questions. People seek the services of a professional appraiser for a number of reasons including: insurance, resell, curiosity, taxes, and for possible donation. Whatever your reason is, this guide should help put you on the right path.

Unfortunately the Marriott Library does not offer appraisal services. However we do have a number of resources to assist you with your appraisal efforts. Click on the different tabs above to take you to the section that interests you the most.
