VA Assistance
The VA does not provide business loans per say, they have a program called Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) that potentially provides grants that can help paid for tools and materials needed to start or grow a business that is veteran owned. Here is a link to the program; https://www.va.gov/careers-employment/vocational-rehabilitation/programs/self-employment/
The VA just signed an agreement with the SBA in order to promote veteran entrepreneurship. The details of the program have not been fully fleshed out but is supposed to help veterans have access to training and business loans from private financial institutions. https://www.sba.gov/article/2024/08/12/sba-dept-veterans-affairs-join-forces-promote-veteran-entrepreneurship
Another great resource for veteran entrepreneurs is the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, they provide training, networking, conferences and small grants for veterans; https://ivmf.syracuse.edu/
