- Henry Moore InstituteResearch Fellowships are intended for artists, scholars and curators, working on historic and contemporary sculpture using the Institute’s library, archive of sculptors’ papers and the collection of Leeds Art Gallery. Up to 4 fellows will be given the opportunity to spend a month in Leeds to develop their own research. With access to our resources and an on-going dialogue with the Institute staff, fellows are free to pursue their own interests in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Local / Regional Opportunities
- The Center for Land Use Interpretation / Wendover, UtahPaid residence program in the desert town of Wendover, Utah. Rustic accommodations. Designed for artists to "produce work related to the unique and inspiring geographic region, which includes the Great Salt Lake and its desert and salt-flat environs." Stipend plus travel and materials funds; 3-8 weeks. All works created on site displayed at the Wendover Exhibit Hall, in CLUI literature and possibly in traveling exhibits (visual, literary, and media arts)
- Spiro ArtsOpen to emerging and established artists worldwide; residents do some community outreach. Housing, studio and stipend. Two residency terms (April and May) with 3-5 residents per term. Open to collaborative teams, and artists can arrange to come with guests, family members or even pets. Open to visual artists, writers, composers, singer/songwriters, researchers, experimental and mixed media artists, and others. (visual, literary, performing, and media arts)

Started by artist Donal Judd, Chinati's Artists in Residence Program provides artists from around the world an opportunity to develop and exhibit their work in a stimulating environment. Chinati's Internship Program offers students from a variety of disciplines hands-on museum experience.

- Women's Studio WorkshopWSW houses fully equipped studios for etching, papermaking, screen-printing, clay, letterpress, and photography. During their stay at WSW, artists are provided with 24-hour access to the studios and on-site housing. Fellowship opportunities are partially subsidized (the visiting artist pays a weekly fee). Grant opportunities include a weekly stipend to the artist.

Fellows arrange own housing, transportation, and meals; stipend provided. - Light Work: Artist-in_ResidencySyracuse, NY. An artist-run, non-profit photography and digital media center supporting artists since 1973.
Museum Programs
- Getty Artists ProgramThe Getty Artists Program extends the department's existing artist-based programs to include individual artist projects or residencies. Invitations are extended to artists who have shown a strong interest in education. One artist is selected each year and given the freedom to select an audience to work with, and to develop the focus and format of their own project.
- de Young Artist StudioEvery month the museum (located in San Francisco) invites artists to install and demonstrate their art form at the de Young. This interactive program enables visitors to meet artists and gives the artists an opportunity to work with the public. Artists working in various media are encouraged to apply.
- Whitney Musem of American ArtThe Independent Study Program (ISP) consists of three interrelated parts: Studio Program, Curatorial Program, and Critical Studies Program. Each year fifteen students are selected to participate in the Studio Program. The program begins in early September and concludes at the end of the following May. Many of the participants are enrolled at universities and art schools and receive academic credit for their participation, while others have recently completed their formal studies.
