Databases and Indexes for Scholarly Articles
Databases and indexes will assist you in identifying conference papers, reports, government documents, and book chapters. Searches are normally conducted by subject, author, or keywords in which you will receive a citation (author, article title, journal / source, date) and often an abstract (short synopsis). Most indexes describe everything within a discipline, no matter where it is published. No library owns every item listed - search the Marriott Library catalog by the journal name to find if we do and what the call number or URL is.
Your topic of interest may also be of interest within another discipline (geology, biology, economics, etc.). Be sure to check those database list or research guides as well for additional suggestions.
