SUST: 6000: Global Changes & Society is a project-based sustainability course. In 2017 Students addressed air quality in the Salt Lake Valley.

The annual challenge, managed by the Salt Lake Chamber and TravelWise, encourages alternative methods of getting from Point A to Point B.

SUST: 6000: Global Changes & Society is a project-based sustainability course. In 2012 the "Moving U" project addressed air quality at the University of Utah.

SUST: 6000: Global Changes & Society is a project-based sustainability course. In 2014 the Smart CommUte project addressed air quality at the University of Utah.

SCIF offers grant money to support campus sustainability projects. Annual reports describe many related to clean air.

U Community Solar was a solar energy project that ran through September 2016.

U Drive Electric was an electric car purchase project that ran through December 2015.

Air, on view July 16–December 11, 2022, Utah Museum of Fine Arts.The exhibition was initially inspired by the Wasatch Front’s poor air quality, for decades a major public health concern. Salt Lake City-Provo-Orem ranked 8th out of 228 metropolitan areas for the worst ozone pollution, according to the 2021 State of the Air report, from the American Lung Association, effectively receiving an ‘F’.
