Zotero is a free tool. When you install this tool, you will have a desktop, online (web) version and a connector tool. This video tutorial is by Rebekah Cummings from Digital Matters at the University of Utah.

Mendeley is another citation management tool used mostly in the sciences.

 

Purdue OWL website provides support for APA (American Psychological Association) citation  style is most commonly used to cite sources within the social sciences. This offers examples for the general format of APA research papers, in-text citations, endnotes/footnotes, and the reference page.

  • This website provides a Citation Machine tool where you can copy and paste elements of a citation and a citation will be created that you can copy and paste for use in your research papers.
  • Other citation creation tools similar to Citation Machine is EasyBib and ZBib or ZoteroBib
