Research Skills for Developing Writers: Summary & Additional Resources
An introductory guide to help multilingual undergraduate writers at the U develop their research skills.
Summary
The Marriott Library is your first stop for research. You can begin finding resources using the basic search function for the MLIB catalog, found on the library home page. Your keyword search may yield thousands of results but you can narrow you search by choosing facets like location, subject, or author. Instead of searching the open-web, you can also use Google Scholar to find academic sources, both inside and outside of the U. Finding appropriate scholarly sources is key to completing successful research so be sure to talk to the Knowledge Commons librarian if you need assistance in your search.
