Recommended Image Size
We do have some flexibility in image sizing. If the Universal Viewer is used for zooming in on fine details in an image on artifacts.
If not needing high zoom - Image size recommendations are:
- Recommend JPGs as file format
- Size images for context. A typically safe range is between 400px - 1000px on longest edge
- Image file sizes ideally compressed to be 500 KB or less.
- Keep in mind, OmekaS will resize images. If an a large file size for an image is uploaded then that image is inserted into a page, OmekaS will resize it so the image isn't too large for the page.
Recommended Video Size
- Files size can be up to 1 gig.
- All video files should be compressed
